Lukas Pascal, who serves as Acquisitions & New Media Director at University Archives, was featured in Kate Dwyer’s Sunday edition New York Times article entitled “Meet the New Old Book Collectors” (May 8, 2022).
Pascal was one of a handful of specialists in the autograph and rare book industry interviewed at the 62nd Annual ABAA New York International Antiquarian Book Fair in New York City last April, showcasing how his generation of 20- and 30-something rare book dealers is transforming the industry. Besides the obvious impact of such a significant demographic shift, Pascal and his cohort are revolutionizing the industry by sourcing autographs and books with the aim of collecting pieces which are personally meaningful as well as valuable.
